Patience is a Virtue

Waiting is definitely the hardest part!  I am always asked about the pain aspect of the surgery and whether it was difficult to get through.  My answer is always the same, no!  I would have the surgery again in a heart beat.  The hard part is waiting to see the results of the surgery.  I was so excited to finally have this surgery done and to see the results after the initial scabbing went away.  Now after much of the shedding has occurred I am in the waiting process for them to grow in.  I have to remind myself when I look at my reflection in the mirror in the morning not to get discouraged.  (The eyelashes and brows are there, I just can't see all of them yet!)  It is difficult to wait but definitely going to be worth the process!

one month post op

It has been approximately one month since the eyelash and eyebrow transplant surgery and many of the transplanted hairs have shedded (a little sad to see them go!).  It is nice to have the after pictures to remind me of what I could look like in the future when the hairs grow back.  I think I see some stubble beginning to come in but it may be wishful thinking...it seems too soon according to the post op care instructions I recieved.  Who knows, I am taking a supplement designed to aid in hair growth so maybe it is really helping.
